The Tooth Tool is perfect for you as a dog owner who wants to brush teeth in the best way. This handy tool helps you to easily open your dog’s mouth and keep it open. You can easily view and brush all the teeth and molars (even in the back and the inside surface of your dog’s teeth!).

Most Important features

  • Easy to use : The Tooth Tool is easy to set up at the correct height, so you always have the perfect fit for your dog. We have a width version for small, medium and large dogs. This way there is always the right size!
  • Deep cleaning : This tool allows you to reach all parts of your dog’s mouth, ensuring a thorough cleaning and better oral health.
  • Easy to clean : The Tooth Tool is easy to clean, so you can use it hygienically every time.
  • Collaboration without coercion : Brush your dog’s teeth in collaboration, without coercion, for stress-free oral care. You do not have to open his mouth yourself, it is easier to reach the molars and your dog will be less inclined to want to bite or lick the toothbrush.
  • Online with hand-outs, including tutorial video: Learn step by step how to teach your dog to use this tool with our step-by-step plan. In this plan you will learn your dog how to teach them a ”hold”, to give a chin rest and brush your dog’s teeth. You will get access to the online hand-out by going to our website. You will receive this link with your package.

Read what other dog owners say about the tool:

We could already brush the outside surface of the teeth with the mouth closed, but it is a great advantage for the inside surface of the teeth, which was simply not possible without a tool. It’s safe for me and clear for Guus. It is also actually an extra ‘start button’ that lets me know that she really thinks brushing her teeth is okay.

If you have a dog that bites things a lot, like Guus, it is difficult to teach them not to bite, but by rewarding him/her a lot when he/she holds him/her calmly, you can unlearn this (you will probably have some small holes in the tool standing, but that is not disturbing).

🐾 Guus

My dogs already had a solid hold it, and flew through the first steps quite quickly. Actually practicing with a toothbrush is where it took us more time. But we are at a point where both borders can now have their teeth neatly brushed. Sasha didn’t have a hold it command, so she is still busy with previous steps to learn to hold it properly. She is already making good progress and it is also important for her to be able to brush properly, so that she does not have to go under anesthesia again for dental treatment at her old age.

I would also really like to avoid such treatment for the borders. Crow is one who has had quite a bit of trouble with medical procedures and is now no longer very comfortable with many medical procedures. So we were also a bit stuck on how we were going to approach brushing our teeth. The tool is really the solution. He is enthusiastic and voluntarily puts his head on the pillow when he sees me grab the tool. As soon as he pulls his head away or takes it off, I stop immediately, but actually that is almost no longer necessary.

It’s much better this way, in collaboration. The tool is so widely applicable. You can easily look inside the mouth, brush the teeth, treat teeth, check teeth or the mouth, and probably much more. And all in collaboration with your dog. I think this tool is almost a must have for dog owners

WHAT IS THE RIGHT SIZE?

The most important thing is that the mouth fits between the two bolts. Measure your dog’s nose as indicated on the white line. This is the minimum width you should have. Are you in doubt? Then take a size larger or contact us via info@zorgzonderdwang.com

WHAT MATERIAL IS USED?

The Tand Tool is made of PLA, which stands for polylactic acid. It is a plastic that softens when heated. The PLA we use for all colors is food-safe and does not release any small particles that pose a health risk (an important requirement for me! ;))

However, it is necessary that you never leave the Dental Tool unattended to prevent your dog from chewing on the material. Your dog must be taught how to hold it correctly so that he does not want to chew on it while you are examining and brushing his teeth.
